Health-evidence.ca (re)-launches

We launched the new Ruby on Rails 2.0 - based re-design of www.health-evidence.ca, a premier resource for public health information. Along with a new, stream-lined design, the new site features:

enhanced searching and filtering of articles
in-line content management
integrated content creation workflow and collaboration system
complete re-write of previous VB.NET 1.0/SQL Server application to Ruby on Rails 2.0 with MySQL database

The new site will augment and replace paper-based activities supporting the creation of articles and evidence published through the site.

Our thanks to Dr. Maureen Dobbins and her team for their hard work in realizing the promise of our initial development in the new system launched today.
