We replaced “The Bucket”, a paper-based combination of manual record keeping, combined with multiple spreadsheets all consolidated in an actual “bucket” – a portable plastic filing cabinet with a Microsoft ASP.NET system that is now the Transportation Management System.

Case workers and coordinators can now:

• enter drive requests right from their web browser
• manage queues of drives across multiple coordinators
• intelligently assign drivers by algorithmically matching geographic locations and optimal times

This is a secure system, internal to the agency and helps to coordinate hundreds of drives per month.
